WHAT IS SHIATSU?
Shiatsu therapy originated in Japan and is a holistic treatment for wellbeing. It assumes that the body already has everything it needs, Shiatsu simply encourages it to regenerate itself and to release stress. Shiatsu is based on the teachings of TCM - Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Shiatsu is a preventative and supportive form of treatment and not a therapy or healing method. In the case of pre-existing conditions and acute complaints, it is important to seek medical advice first.
HOW DOES A SHIATSU SESSION LOOK LIKE?
In my shiatsu massages, I use gentle to intense pressure, mobilise joints and stretch muscles to bring your body into balance. Shiatsu is based on traditional Chinese medicine and works deep into the tissue through targeted pressure on meridians and acupuncture points. Lymphatic vessels, fascia, muscles and tendons are reached in depth. With the help of rotations and stretches, I promote relaxation, increase mobility and stimulate blood circulation.
In my internships I have already been able to accompany pregnancies, children and adolescents with Shiatsu.

Before each treatment, we will discuss your expectations and limitations as well as any pre-existing conditions or complaints. During the Shiatsu anamnesis on the mat, I take note of where and how you feel your body. Shiatsu can help with sleep disorders, digestive problems, headaches, colds and tension. Emotions can also come up during the treatment, as the body stores many memories. At the end, there is time for reflection.
WHAT TREATMENTS DO YOU OFFER?
Shiatsu and cupping.
WHAT IS YOU APPROACH?

I want Shiatsu to reach people who don't feel addressed by conventional wellness treatments. What makes a good treatment for me is not only the mindful touch of the body, but also listening and being there in the moment.

Often enough, the voices of BIPoCs and queer people are not heard or are turned down in everyday life; in my shiatsu sessions, there is enough space and room to simply be. I am part of the Filipino diaspora and am very happy to be able to hold this space.
While working as a nurse in a hospital, I experienced first-hand the effects that stress and irregular working hours can have on the body and mind. That's why I also bring my own tools into my practice, which I can pass on, and of course I'm still learning myself.
